Religious Services

D.A.R.L.A. invites the community to join in the religious celebration of two important events: Thanksgiving and Martin Luther King, Jr., Day. These religious celebrations are meant to bring the community together to pray and experience the power and importance of these two events. The celebrations are hosted by different participating churches.

Martin Luther King Celebration

"I have a dream!" (Martin Luther King, Jr.)

An Interfaith worship service, in observance of Martin Luther King, Jr. Day, will take place on Sunday, January 20th, at 7 PM, at St. Thomas Episcopal Church, on Locust Street in Dover.

Rev. Margaret Lawson, Presiding Elder for the Boston District of the New England Conference of the African Methodist Episcopal Zion (AME Zion) Church will be the guest speaker.

Special music will be provided by one of the choruses of Dover High School. They have provided wonderful music leadership for this event for several years, and we're thrilled to have them return.

Let us come together with neighbors to worship our God of justice, as we look to the example of a powerful justice seeker, the fulfillment of whose "dream" we still anticipate!
